When you get gas from scratch, the order depends a little on your building. A short summary based on the rules İzmirgaz publishes:
If the building is switching to gas for the first time, İzmirgaz asks for an apartment or site decision. If the building already uses gas, no decision is needed and the work covers your flat's piping.

Start by requesting a free inspection. We visit, explain the documents and order for your building and give a clear price. You complete the connection at an İzmirgaz customer centre. We handle the project, approval, installation and gas activation follow-up.
For an individual subscription İzmirgaz asks for a copy of the title deed, the owner's ID copy and ID number, the occupancy permit and an electricity or water bill for the address. If the building is switching to gas for the first time, an apartment or site decision is also needed.
No, the project must be approved first. İzmirgaz has piping removed if work started without approval. Complete projects are checked and approved within 5 business days at the latest.
Yes. As an İzmirgaz-certified firm we draw the project, submit it to İzmirgaz electronically and follow the approval (permit).
After project approval you pay the security deposit and sign the subscription contract at the customer centre, and the meter is handed over. We book the inspection. On the day, the appliances must be connected and the ventilation openings clear. The İzmirgaz officer and the firm's representative inspect together, and gas is opened if everything complies.
The installation time depends on the size of the home and the project, and we give you a clear timeframe at the inspection. On the official side, İzmirgaz approves a complete project within 5 business days at the latest, and an inspection appointment can be booked within 10 business days at the latest.
Yes. İzmirgaz states that a kitchen-only subscription is possible.
The pipe route and length, the appliances to connect (hob, boiler), whether radiators are needed and the condition of the building. The connection fee and security deposit paid at the İzmirgaz customer centre are separate from the piping price. We see the address at the inspection and give a clear price.
